What is Stripe Connect?

Wholeding uses Stripe Connect Express to handle payments securely. When a client books a session with you, their payment is processed through Stripe. After the session is completed, your earnings are automatically transferred to your bank account.

What You'll Need

  • A valid government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, or driver's license)
  • Your bank account details (IBAN for EU accounts)
  • Your address and date of birth

Setting Up Your Account

During onboarding (Step 5), you'll be redirected to Stripe's secure hosted page. The process typically takes 5–10 minutes. Stripe will ask you to:

  1. Verify your identity with a photo ID
  2. Enter your personal details (name, address, date of birth)
  3. Add your bank account for payouts
  4. Review and accept Stripe's terms of service

If You Need to Pause

No worries if you can't complete everything in one sitting. You can always resume from your Provider Settings page — look for the "Continue setup on Stripe" button.

How Payouts Work

  • When a client books and the provider confirms, the payment is captured.
  • Wholeding takes a 25% platform fee, and the remainder is your earnings.
  • Payouts are processed automatically by Stripe on a rolling basis (typically within 2–7 business days, depending on your country).
  • You can view your earnings breakdown on the Earnings page in your dashboard.

Troubleshooting

  • Verification pending: Stripe may need additional documents. Check your email for any requests from Stripe.
  • Payout delays: First payouts may take longer (up to 14 days) while Stripe verifies your account.
